Chatuchak Market, A.K.A. JJ market

The biggest market in Thailand. 35 acres and over 35,000 stalls.
Actually, not a good place for sleep deprived, hot, hungry kids and their parents. NOT recommended for kids, and definitely not with infant and stroller. Last we went, I think 7 years ago, it was totally overwhelming as childless adults. What the hell were we thinking bringing the kids?

Two good things were the old school play ground at the neighboring park, and meeting the artist who we bought a bunch of paintings from last time.

The Girls determined to shop today!

Waiting for train to Mo Chit

Old School Playground

Thank god for coconut ice cream and ice cold coconut water. Less so for bright pink Popsicle that Solveig ate while on my back in the baby carrier. Holy mess in Bangkok heat.

   Squid eggs.  Very squiddy.

 Yummy seafood pockets.

Stalls

Our Stall, where we bought several paintings last time. They are still here. Fun to see the artist again. We only bought a little painting this time.

(that's not it in the background ;))
